TEFAF NEW YORK

Lucio Fontana, Asger Jorn or Camille Graeser, TEFAF New York comes back as divergent as NYC.

TEFAF New York Spring 2022 is taking place at the Park Avenue Armory, May 6-10. Their official website states that “TEFAF is a not-for-profit foundation that champions expertise and diversity in the global art community, evidenced in the exhibitors selected for its two fairs, which take place annually in Maastricht and New York. TEFAF acts as an expert guide for both private and institutional collectors, which inspires lovers and buyers of art everywhere […] TEFAF New York, focuses on Modern and Contemporary Art & Design.” Fraught with incredible diversity in the mediums, the artists… two years after being closed to the public because of Covid19.

In this selection of works, we’ll see pieces by artists as well known as Marina Abramović (1946), Pablo Picasso (1881-1973), Lucio Fontana (1899-1968), Yayoi Kusama (1929) or Andy Warhol (1928-1987). Golden treasures by Giovanni Boldini (1842-1931), Gabriele Münter (1877-1962), Camille Graeser (1892-1980), Aurelie Nemours (1910-2005)… Also, a younger generation like Steen Ipsen (1966), Joris Laarman (1979) and Ferrari Sheppard (1983).
